I feel your pain on this one. I was going to start trying for another at 6 months but then I didn't want to give up breastfeeding. Now I'm waiting until after Bo is a year old so I can breastfeed him. Oh, the joys of infertility. They never go away.

I was asking a genuine question and am seriously sorry if I upset you....I had heard of people breastfeeding while pregnant and know you love it, so I was wondering why you couldn't continue to do this. I sincerely appreciate you answering my question. You are blessed with your three wonderful healthy babies and I am glad you were able to breastfeed them for so long.

I'm sorry that you are having to deal with people who don't get infertility. Even if you were just taking clomid through an OBGYN office, you'd have to stop breastfeeding since surely all fertility meds are contraindicated for breastfeeding mothers.

Good luck with preparing for your next treatment cycle once you and your babies are ready.

I'm sorry that you're getting inconsiderate comments on your blog. Even though I'm not at a point to seriously consider these type of questions, I already hate the questions about whether we will want more kids and spacing - as if I could just wave a magic wand and single-handedly make myself ovulate on demand at some point in the future.

You know I admire you for nursing at all! However there should be ZERO judgements if you didn't! People need to get over their hang ups about "breast is best" Yes it is, but you know what if you choose to shove a rubber nipple in the kids mouth from birth so be it. Everyone makes decisions in life, and those decisions belong soley to them, and them only.

As you can see I loath ignorant judgemental people!

Karen - you rock my socks. Sucks all the same that you had to explain this at all...

I am not judging you or saying anything about choosing to breastfeed or not. I sincerely did not know why you could not breastfeed while trying to get pregnant...I have heard of others doing this and didn't know why you could not. You can all me inconsiderate, ignorant or whatever you want, but I am VERY happy you explained it to me, because as I mentioned, I did not know, that is why I asked the question in the first place. For the record, I tried for 3 1/2 years to get pregnant myself and breastfed mine for a year....so even though we did not go through IVF, I do know the monthly grief of not getting pregnant when that is all you want in the world....and I fully support breastfeeding.
I hope you have a nice weekend and thanks again for answering my question......
